 at / in / on是表示地方或位置的介系詞：

1. at 用法

1. at（在）：用於一地點或較小的地方

  ex-：village（村莊） small town（小鎮）bus stop（公車站）之前。

　　　ex-He is waiting for his girl at the bus stop.

（他正在公車站前等他的女朋友。）

公車站是小地方，所以用介系詞 at

2. at 用在一些城市裡面的某個地點

ex-說超市，海邊，百貨公司

ex-at the mall, at the library, at the beach

3. at也會用在幾個特別的場所

at home, at school, at work, at church, at Lisa’s house, at a meeting

4. at 後面接地址(比較容易混淆的用紅字)

I live at 523 Main Road, Taipei, Taiwan.

2. in 的用法

1. in（在）：用於較大的地方

如：large town（大鎮） city（都市） province（省）country（國家）等之前。

　　　ex-He lives in London.（他住在倫敦。）

倫敦是大地方，所以用介系詞 in。

2. in 後面接國家，城市，房號(比較容易混淆的用紅字)

I live in Taiwan.      She lives in Taipei.       He lives in Room 4B.

　如:表示「在...裡面」，in 亦可用於小地方，

如：room（房間） house（房子） garden（花園）　village（村莊）等之前。

3. in 可用在房子或公寓裡面的某個地方或做某件事

       ex-in the kitchen, in the yard, in the shower

on的用法

1. on〔主要指位置〕有三種用法：

a. 在...上面       b. 在～街 / 路      c. 靠近（表界線接觸）

The picture is on the wall. 圖畫在牆  介系詞 on 指出位置

　The hotel is on the 44th Street.那家旅館在第44街

 　介系詞 on 指出所在地

　They live on the border.（他們住在邊界附近。）

　介系詞 on 指出所靠近之處

2. on 後面接路，街，樓層(比較容易混淆的用紅字)

I live on Main Road.  She lives on Oak Street.  He lives on the first floor.

3. on 常會用在休息，渡假，旅行

on my break, on vacation, on a trip

其他:

這裡就是討厭麻煩的地方了：在某個建築物的時候，用in或at都可以，用in有時可以強調在建築物的裡面。

Let’s meet at the coffee shop.

Let’s meet in the coffee shop.
